A Word from the Superintendent:

November 12, 2007

Dear Summit Parent:

It is an exciting time to be at SCA! Enrollment is increasing every week as Christ-centered students look for a school where Jesus is Lord, learning is challenging, but fun, and there are many leadership and athletic opportunities.

It is really incredible to see the many ways God is working in the lives of our students and teachers this year. Our terrific student body is invested in this school, and our teachers are pushing them toward academic excellence. There is a great spirit of worship in chapel, and a number of Bible studies have sprung up across campus. Student leaders in National Honor Society and Student Council are meeting weekly to plan events, improve the school, and serve our community.

Our focus this year is on letting our light shine for Christ through missions and serving others. We had a canned food drive where we delivered 836 items to Cornerstone Ministries. Our Senior Class spent a day working at the Little Light House, a school for special needs kids, and our Junior Class spent a day at Crosstown Learning Center reading to underprivileged youth.

The students and faculty had a lot of fun participating in Spirit Week during crazy hair day and 70s dress. Attendance at our football games is at an all-time high, and our volleyball team finished 2nd at Regionals.

Thanks to all of our parents for working with us to create great people.

In His service together,

Dan Giddens
