Summit Coaching Staff

  Ron Davis
Head Football Coach

Coach Davis is entering his 35th year of coaching and will teach secondary history. He was the offensive coordinator for the Oologah Mustangs for twelve years prior to coming to Summit. The Mustangs won two state championships while Coach Davis was mentoring the offense. The Mustangs went to the state semi-finals twice, were district champions five time, and went to the playoffs eleven of those twelve years. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, as well as a certified Russian Kettle Bell instructor. He and his wife Robin have three children: Kyle; Casey, an engineering major at TU; and Emily, a journalism major at UCO.

  James Isaacs
Varsity Volleyball

James Isaacs is entering his first year at SCA as the girls varsity volleyball coach and middle school boys basketball coach, and will be teaching middle school English, science, and history. Coach Isaacs has five years of teaching and coaching experience in Tennessee. Coach Isaacs graduated from Miami University (OH) in 2005, and received his master's degree in Educational Leadership in 2010. He is married to Valerie, and they have two children: Presley (3) and Brayden (1).

  Josh Baker
Varsity Boys Basketball

Coach Baker is entering his first year as the Boys's Assistant Basketball Coach, and will be teaching high school mathematics. Coach Baker has twelve years of teaching experience at Glenpool High School, Southwest Junior High (Springdale, AR), and Union High School. He has coached for nine years, including three years as the head boys' basketball coach. Coach Baker graduated from Northeastern State University in 1994, and is finishing his masters in mathematic education this fall. He is married to Alesha, who is also in education. They have twin daughters, Emily and Abigail (3).

  Curt Denton
Football

Coach Denton played football for Central State University and graduated from Northeastern State University with a B.S. in biology. He will be teaching junior high science at Summit. He has been teaching and coaching for the last twelve years; six years as assistant football coach and head girls soccer coach for Muskogee Public Schools, and six years as head footbal coach, track coach, powerlifting coach, and assistant baseball coach for Warner Public Schools. Coach Denton has been married to his wife Sally for 25 years. They have three sons: Tim (21), a graphic artist; Matt (19), a freshman at the University of Arkansas; and Grey (16), a sophomore at Summit.

Mindy Ellis
Varsity Cheerleading

Coach Ellis is entering her second year as varsity cheer coach at SCA. She was an All-State cheerleader and captain in high school, cheer captain in college at Harding University, and a cheer judge at Broken Arrow Public Schools. She has coached gymnastics at Union and choreographed at Callaway Cheernastics. Mindy is a nursing graduate from Rogers State University and is a registered nurse. She and her husband Jimmy have two children: Abby (14) and Kylee (11).

Jeff Farquhar
Varsity Girls Basketball

Coach Farquhar will begin his third year in the Summit Christian Academy basketball program and second year as the head coach for the Lady Eagles. Before joining the Summit staff, Farquhar spent seven years as an assistant varisty boys’ basketball coach at his alma mater, Metro Christian. He and his wife of thirteen years, Aimee, met in high school, and both attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee. They have four children: Raley (12), Kassidy (11), Caleb (5), and Canadee (3).

Cheryl Jefferis
Varsity Girls Basketball

Cheryl Jefferis is the school administrative assistant to Principal Rogers and to Athletic Director Langebartels. She is entering her second year as assistant varsity girls’ basketball coach at Summit. Jefferis played basketball in high school in Texas and played during college in Wyoming and Oklahoma. Her coaching experience began at River Road High School in Amarillo, Texas. She looks forward returning to the court as an assistant for the Eagles. She and her husband Jerry have four children: Jason, Autumn, Adrienne, and Cory.

Marc Langebartels
Athletic Director | Varsity Boys Soccer

Coach Langebartels is entering his second season as athletic director and boys’ soccer coach. He was the athletic director at Grace Christian School for seven years and also coached both the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams. Before that, he was at Bishop Kelley High School teaching in the business department and coaching the boys’ soccer team. He graduated from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma City, where he played on the soccer team, earning All-American honors. After college, he moved to Tulsa to play for the Tulsa Roughnecks professional soccer team. He is married to Suzanne, and together they have four children: Taylor (18), Jordan (12), Kennedy (8), and Jacob (6).

Roscoe Migliore
Varsity Boys Basketball

Coach Migliore is going into his fourth year at SCA as varsity boys’ basketball coach and development director. He was an assistant football and basketball coach at Metro Christian for five years before coming to Summit. Coach Migliore is a graduate of Jenks High School and OSU.

Kyle Rodell
Girls Soccer

Coach Rodell is entering his fourth year as the girls’ soccer coach. He played soccer at Manhattan Christian College and has a passion for teaching the game of soccer. He works as the youth minister at Cedar Ridge Christian Church and enjoys encouraging his players spiritually as much as he enjoys winning games!

Shawn Smith
Varsity Baseball

Coach Shawn Smith is in his fourth year at SCA. Coach Smith is our head baseball coach and is a varsity football assistant coach, as well as the director of our elementary football program. Coach Smith teaches history and takes his AP class to Washington D.C. each spring. A native Texan, Coach Smith is a graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
